Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the UFC's flyweight division. She is the older sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started out as an Muay Thai fighter. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second medal in 2007 and a bronze medal in 2008 and a gold in the year 2011, and won in the position of IFMA Amateur World Muay Thai Champion in 2016. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. She won in 2012 the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina last fought against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut was in 2002, at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She was victorious via TKO in the second round and went on to win her two subsequent bouts in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She made her comeback against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui in a unanimous decision. She then beat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in an unanimous vote. She resigned from the organization and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11.
